What is the weather like at Pali Retreat?

We are located in Running Springs at an elevation of over 6,000 feet. We experience all four seasons, from warm summers to snowy winters.

Event Planner and Group Leader Information

How do I request a tour of Pali Retreat?

Please call in advance to schedule a visit at 909-939-0855. We are open year-round and on weekends. Our friendly staff members would love to give you and a friend a free personal tour.

Does Pali Retreat have wireless Internet access?

Yes, wi-fi is provided in group leader rooms, the main lodge and most meeting areas. Our cabins are distraction-free zones.

Do you offer audiovisual equipment?

Pali Retreat offers each group a projector and a screen as part of the retreat package. Each of our meeting spaces has speakers and microphones. Please inform us of any audiovisual needs at least two weeks in advance of your group arrival.

Are pets/animals permitted?

We are sorry, as a wilderness area, we cannot accommodate animals other than trained service animals on leash or crated at all times.

Do you allow smoking/vaping?

We are a non-smoking, tobacco-free facility. Pali Retreat is located in the San Bernardino National Forest, in a high fire danger area. We regret that guests found smoking must be asked to vacate the facility without refund.

Who do I contact for emergencies?

There is an onsite host present at all times. Group leaders may contact their assigned host at any time of the day or night with concerns while at Pali retreat. The name and 24/7 phone number of the group host is provided upon arrival.

Accommodations Information

What time is check-in and check-out?

For weekend retreat guests, check-in is after 4PM and checkout is by 12pm. Please call for inquiries about early/late check-in and check-out.

Do you provide linens/bedding?

Our private rooms include bedding. Guests staying in cabins bring their own sleeping bags or linens for a twin bed. We are able to provide cabin bedding with advance notice at an additional charge.

 

Food and Beverage Information

Can we bring/cook our own food?

For safety reasons, we do not permit guests cooking at Pali Retreat, with the exception of Pali-run culinary classes. Pali Retreat is in a high fire danger area. All of our retreat packages include meals. You are permitted to bring drinks and snacks into your own meeting room only. No food is permitted in sleeping cabins and private rooms to avoid attracting animals.

We ask that you do not bring peanuts onto the property to protect people with life-threatening allergies. No food is allowed in cabins in order to avoid attracting animals.

Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

Pali Retreat maintains a tree nut and peanut–free kitchen with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other options available upon request. However, we cannot guarantee that Pali Retreat is 100% nut free. Visitors to Pali do, on occasion, bring nuts to the dining area, cabins and other common areas.

We ask that you inform us of your dietary requirements when booking or when final numbers are confirmed. We are happy to discuss any unique requirements for religious or dietary needs you may have – just give us a call.

May I serve alcohol at my events?

Pali Retreat offers a full liquor license. A cocktail or beer and wine package may be added to any retreat package with advance notice. We regret that we cannot allow groups to bring alcohol to our facility without prior arrangements.

 

Pricing/Booking

How much does a retreat cost?

Pricing is seasonal. Typical costs are per cabin (12 or 28 beds), per meeting space. Meals and guided activities are per person. Please call our office for a custom proposal. (909) 939-0855

How far in advance should I schedule to reserve and guarantee my dates?

Our staff can book your retreat as far ahead as one year in advance, or as soon as next week. Your dates are not guaranteed until we have received your contract and deposit. We book on a first come, first served basis. Advance planning is always appreciated and we cannot always honor requests for short-notice events.

How many people can Pali retreat accommodate?

Our minimum number of retreat guests is 25, and our maximum is 700. Exclusive use of our site begins at 450 guests.

How do I schedule an event or retreat?

You may schedule your event by calling us at 909-939-0855. Or, you may fill out our Book My Retreat form to make your initial inquiries. A member of our staff will contact you promptly with further information and responses.

What is your cancellation policy?

We can offer a full refund for your event if it is cancelled (in writing) at least 120 days in advance.

How long does my retreat need to be?

Most of our groups spend a full weekend with us, from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. However, we are as flexible as your group needs us to be – with both daily and single night options available.

How much of a deposit is required to reserve my dates?

When booking more than 120 days in advance we require a 25% deposit, with another 25% deposit due 120 days before your event. When booking within 120 days, we require a 50% deposit.

When must I make payment of the balance due and give you our final number of guests?

Payment in full must be submitted at least 14 days before your event. We must receive your final number of guests at this time.

Do you accept credit cards as a form of payment?

Yes, we accept Visa and MasterCard.

 

Location / Transportation

Can you offer transportation?

Pali Retreat owns and operates four small shuttles that can transport up to 100 guests. During the winter months, we offer shuttle service to and from Snow Valley for groups that ski and snowboard. This shuttle service can also be used for any local trips within 10 miles, including Lake Arrowhead Village. Call us for current pick up/drop off rates and shuttle pricing.

Do you offer parking for guests arriving by private automobile?

We have free parking available for all guests, but we do request that you carpool. We regret we cannot accommodate large RVs or trailers.

How close are you to a major airport?

Pali Retreat is located about 1 hour from Ontario International Airport (ONT) and 2 hours from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Do you have room for buses?

Pali Retreat has room for buses to drive in and turn around to drop off guests. Caltrans and CHP will not allow buses longer than 40 feet on our highways. Please notify your bus company.
