Best LGBTQ-Friendly Retreat in Southern California

LGBTQ folks like to travel, probably moreso than anyone else – let’s face it they add style and panache to everyting they do.. According to the Travel Trends Report 2018, there has been a significant increase in the number of lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual tourists, as more resorts and retreats become more friendly towards the LGBTQ community.

Groups throughout the community enjoy reconnecting with  their inner selves, are very social, and recharge after going through the hustle and bustle of their own personal journey.  As many as one in five people self-identify as LGBTQ, so a significant part of the traveling public wants to feel welcome . . . especially in their leisure time and with large discretionary spending income to lavish on their chosen travel destinations.

According to SRI International, health and wellness travel has been booming with more than $440 million spent each year.  Resorts, camps and other facilities for group retreats are competing for a piece of the pie.

Planning your group retreat shouldn’t be a stressful task. Let our experienced staff help you plan the best LGBTQ retreat from start to finish, so all you need to worry about is relaxation.

We are located in beautiful Southern California on 250 acres of stunning mountaintop forest, which is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast who requires some reconnection with nature. Our location limits the distraction of  city lights, noise and traffic.

Pali Retreat is between Big Bear Lake and Lake Arrowhead. It’s the perfect setting to enjoy clear, dark skies, to watch the stars in a bright, sparkling night, and soak up sunset vistas at the end of a day; that are included in the experience.  Choose a retreat that gives individuals the ability to detach from the stresses of their everyday lives and turn inward with friends and family

Meeting Spaces

We have a wide variety of private meeting spaces to fit the needs of each group. Small and large meeting rooms are available, depending on the type of retreat you have. We offer exclusive use of our entire facility at 450 guests.

Don’t forget to consider breakout sessions, both formal and informal activities, and time for everyone to wind down from their meeting.  Even if your group is not large enough for exclusive facility use, we can offer areas and activities separated from any other groups on the property that include  enchanting wooded enclaves and stunning mountain overlooks.

Booking the wrong size venue can change the feel of the retreat. Choose a space that matches your needs while you’re there and that it matches the intention that you’re seeking.

Tons of Fun Activities

Guests can enjoy a variety of activities such as swimming, yoga, and meditation. In addition, many retreat organizers arrange for activities to complement the retreat purpose and organized program.  At Pali, we offer a variety of fun things for groups to do, that includes:

  • Kinetic Team Building
  • Ropes Courses
  • Zip Line
  • Hiking
  • Field Games
  • Rock Climbing Wall
  • Archery
  • Deer watching
  • Campfires and S’mores – even Vegan Marshmellows

And a whole lot more. You can choose between self-led or guided activities. Our well-rounded and knowledgeable instructors are happy to adapt to your formal programs or to present complementary retreat activities.
